Providence Swings is a registered Non-Profit. Our goal is to spread the joy of Lindy Hop and other dances of the Swing Era. We want to build and sustain a vibrant community of dancers in Rhode Island. We are excited to provide an inclusive space with a focus on rhythm, movement, and historical context.

Thanks to everyone who came to Dirty Dozen Weekend! It was a blast! If you attended any of the events, we have a brief survey for you to fill out! The feedback will help us improve future events.

Lindy 3 is fast upon us! This class series will be focused on (you guessed it) SWINGOUTS WOOHOO!!!
Detailed Description: One of the most foundational moves of Lindy Hop is the swingout. In this class series, we will focus on building confidence in the swingout and incorporating it into your social dancing through variations.
PREREQUISITES: Students in this series should have experience with 8- and 6-count footwork, circles, and side passes, have attempted a swingout, or have attended at least some of our Lindy 1 or 2 classes.
If you are unclear about whether you can participate in this series, please email us at providenceswings@gmail.com and we will be happy to answer any questions!
We have a limited number of full- and partial-scholarships for Lindy 3. These scholarships are for Black/African American community members. Providence Swings is committed to practicing responsible stewardship of the Black American history of Lindy Hop.
